Nittany Lion WC - 5/02/08
D6's NLWC is making their post-season presence felt, as usual. They sent seven wrestlers to the PIAA state finals, and came away with four Champions in Luke Frey(103), Derek Reber(130), Quentin Wright(171 - also OW), and Sean Owen(285)..a total of 18 medalwinners in Hershey
At NHSCA Nationals in Virginia Beach, four NLWC wrestlers earned All-America honors. They include seniors Derek Reber(2nd at 130) & Steve Bosak(2nd at 160), sophomore Mitchell Port(7th at 112), and freshman Scott Bosak(4th at 125)
At the World Olympic Team Trials in Brockport Brad Pataky won Freestyle 55 kg, Quentin Wright finished 2nd in both Freestyle 74 kg and Senior Division 185.5 lbs, and Jack Chidester was 4th in Junior Division at 140 lbs
At Nationals in Akron, Ronnie Garbinsky finished 5th at 50kg in FILA Cadet Greco-Roman, while, in University Freestyle, Brad Pataky won 55kg and Aaron Anspach finished 2nd at 120kg
NLWC qualified twenty-five for MAWA Eastern Nationals, including West Regional Champions Jacob Oliver, Andrew Wert, Shae Bloom, Timmy Pearce, Brook Zacherl, Tom Traxler, Brad Grieb, Jon-Marc Burdick, Shane Alterio, and Christian Oberle.

Angry Fish WC - 4/10/08
D7's Angry Fish alumni has a great showing at the NCAA Championships qualifying nine wrestlers, and coming away with three All-Americans including two National Champions. Oklahoma State's Coleman Scott(133) and Penn State's Phil Davis(197) won National titles, while Penn State's Mark McKnight (125) finished 4th

Ragin' Raisins WC - 4/10/08
D10's Ragin' Raisins qualified twenty wrestlers for PIAA States, and came away with eleven medalwinners including State Champion Jordan Moss(135). New York members Trent Johnston and Mike Gresh were each medalwinners in their state.
Two Ragin Raisin wrestlers earned All-America honors at NHSCA Nationals, with senior Mike Gresh(7th at 160) and junior Caleb Kolb(3rd at 160)

Wayne Danger WC - 4/11/08
D6's Wayne Danger fueled the impressive showing by the Lewistown wrestlers at PJW States that produced six medalwinners including State Champs Hayden Hidley(70) and Noah Stewart(75)
Wayne Danger was a dominating force in club team events last year. They went a combined 23-2 in team duals. They won both the Bad Karma Duals and the Waterway Duals, and made the finals in the Virginia Freestyle Duals and the NHSCA National Duals. I've seen this year's team roster, and it's LOADED. Expect a repeat performance this season..already booked in six events..I'll post a tentative lineup in the next Wayne Danger update.

Pitt Bull Wrestling - 4/11/08
D7's Pitt Bull established themselves as the PA club leader in Youth wrestling. They qualified an amazing forty-two wrestlers for PJW States, and produced seventeen medalwinners. Thirteen PB wrestlers made the finals, with six claiming a State title, They include Tyler Griffiths, Daniel Leonard, Eric Morris, Jimmy Gulibon, Ty Lydic, and Ben Johnson.
At the high school level, ten Pitt Bull wrestlers were PIAA medalwinners, four were National Prep medalwinners, including Champion & OW Ian McLaughlin(112). Jamie Clark(112) was the Ohio State Champion.
After making the NCAA finals last year, Pitt wrestler and Pitt Bull coach Keith Gavin completed an undefeated season as NCAA National Champion at 174.

Bellefonte WC 5/08/08
D6's BWC qualified six wrestlers for PJW States and came away with four medalwinners. Five of the six were in the 13-14 group and will be hitting the Varsity next season. Medalwinners in the 13-14 division include Tom Traxler (finalist at 107), Brad Grieb (3rd at 157), and Cody Fisher (4th at 102). Trevor Corl got 7th at 75 in 10U
Brad Grieb wins a NUWAY National title at 157. This individual tournament has the top four youth wrestlers per division and weight from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and New York.
BWC crowned four MAWA West Regional Champions in Tom Traxler (105-Advanced), Brad Grieb (160-Advanced), Shane Alterio (152-Elite), and Christian Oberle (171-Elite) and qualified eleven for Eastern Nationals.

Young Guns WC 4/24/08
D6's Young Guns qualified fourteen wrestlers for PIAA States and produced eight medalwinners in Tanner Hough(103), Evan Henderson(112), A J Schopp(112), Dave Fogle(119), Ryan Link(125), Shawn Perich(135), Mike Brant(152), and Marco Pecora(171)
Thirty-three Young Guns wrestlers qualified for PJW States, and fourteen came away as medalwinners. The group includes champions R J Brydon(124) and Shane Morris(252), and finalist John Rizzo(187).
Awesome showing by the Young Guns at NHSCA Nationals claiming five All-Americans including Freshman David Kephart (6th at 171) and Sophomores A J Schopp (4th at 112), Patrick Myers (5th at 119), Phil Steinberg (8th at 140), and Zak Newton (8th at 189).
